Warrnambool | A City for Living

This 37km rail trail begins at the Moyne River in Port Fairy, meanders through the historic village of Koroit and finishes at Warrnambool's foreshore precinct.

You can cycle the length of the trail in a brisk two or a leisurely four hours each way.

The ride takes in the rolling countryside the region is famous for, with ocean glimpses near the Warrnambool end of the trail.

If you’re looking for a shorter journey, Koroit is a one to two hour ride from either Warrnambool or Port Fairy. With a selection of restaurants and cafes, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a bite to eat and a coffee before riding back, which is conveniently downhill.

Another option is the 5.7km trip from the Levys Point carpark, along the Merri River, past Lake Pertobe and Middle Island before finishing at the Warrnambool breakwater – perfect for families.

Bikes can be hired at either Café Cycles Warrnambool or the Port Fairy visitor information centre

Buses run between Warrnambool and Port Fairy, which may have room for bikes. Contact Warrnambool Bus Lines on 5562 5748 to make sure this will be possible.
